Rhonda Evans has been invited to be a member of the Board of Directors for Health Advocacy Solutions (HAS). HAS helps patients, families, and caregivers make informed medical choices to receive the best care possible.
Jason McNichol will be teaching a class in the new Executive MBA program in Non-profit Management at the University of Portland.
Rhonda Evans has been asked to be a member of the B Lab Health and Safety Working Group. B Lab is a nonprofit organization dedicated to using the power of business to solve social and environmental problems.
Jason McNichol, Managing Director, specializes in the development of innovative products and services to help meet health, environmental, and social needs in consumer markets. He is the founder and director of Health Advocacy Solutions, a national healthcare consumer support organization. Between 2003 and 2005, he also served as a program officer and director at the Social Science Research Council-- a leading international catalyst of interdisciplinary efforts to address contemporary public problems. Since co-founding ELM in 1999, McNichol has worked closely with firms, non-profits, and public agencies on diverse research and strategy projects.
McNichol received his Bachelor of Science with Highest Honors from Cornell University, and Master's and PhD degrees in Sociology from the University of California at Berkeley. Over the course of his career, McNichol has received awards from the National Science Foundation, John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. He has taught at the University of California, the University of Freiburg (Germany), and other campuses. McNichol has authored several articles and chapters on contemporary issues published by Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, and others.
